Ice ... Beautiful Ice

I know.  I know.  Many of you are not liking the word "Ice" right now.  Your cars are slipping and sliding on the roads.  (One sweet Bloggy Friend's son rolled their truck over an embankment because of the ice.)  And, I agree, I do NOT like ice on the roadways.  However ... at the same time ...

Ice Can Be ...

BEAUTIFUL!

South Falls

at

Silver Falls State Park

in Oregon

the day before

THANKSGIVING.

On the Trail

Under the Waterfall

The ice on the railings

was like a Glass Wall.

Cassie

and the

Amazing Icicles

Ice can be ...

WET

and

COLD.

But ...

it can also be

FUN!!!

We thoroughly enjoyed our hike to the

Icy Waterfall.

  2. Wow! That is spectacular! The one time it was cold enough here for icicles, one of my boys (5 years old then) took it everywhere with him. It was almost as big as he. Took it sledding. Took in on a wagon ride. Took it in our van for an errand. Then home and into the bath with him - where he lost "his friend." I had forgotten that fun memory! Thanks for bringing it to mind!

  7. Sheri's comment made me laugh because when Jeremiah, Ashleigh, and I went the next day the ice/ snow was starting to melt and we would occasionally hear a crash. I kept hoping the ones over our head weren't going to break off... But there weren't any large icicles scattered among the "ice cubes" on the ground, so I guess we were safe :)

    It was beautiful!
