Oh my!
We finally finished all of the good-byes in Oregon at 2:00 this afternoon (after filling every square inch of the u-haul trailer and the little SUV). We arrived at our first night's destination, in Eastern Washington, at 11:00 pm. Upon arriving, we were told that a Winter Storm Warning is in effect. It is supposed to snow 6-8" here in the next 24 hours. The warning said that "Roads may be treacherous."
However ... looking ahead at the next several hundred miles, the snow is not expected to be as heavy the next day or so. Therefore, we are praying that we can get on the road in the morning before the heavy snowfall makes the highways impassable here.
But ... it is after midnight and we must get some sleep in order to drive safely tomorrow.
We drove 400 miles today. We have 1300 miles left to go. We expect snow the whole way, from here on out.
Thanks for your continued prayers.
