Arrrrrgggghhhh .....

Digging through boxes.

Ripping the office apart.

Needing to find receipts.

Finding some ...
still others Missing In Action.

Missing VERY IMPORTANT
Yellow File Folder with
Critical Documents.
(lost in last year's move)

Praying for Favor with the IRS.

I have 5 days to get all of our paperwork
together for the Adoption Tax Credit ...

...  and I am STRESSED.

So.  Not.  Fun.

Update:  PRAISING JESUS tonight!!!

We found the yellow file folder that has been missing for many MONTHS.

We found almost every receipt possible that pertains to the adoption.  (Just one or two phone calls to make tomorrow.)

We have piles of receipts: every grocery store receipt while we were in Ghana ... every gas station receipt from our travels across Ghana ... every receipt for the places we visited ... the receipt for our car and driver ... every hotel receipt ... every airline receipt ... the restaurant receipt for dinner in Seattle before we caught the plane to Accra ...

Yippee!!!  THANK YOU JESUS!!!

After praying with the kids tonight, Elijah (9) told us that he wanted to talk to us after the other kids headed to bed.  Then, he came over and whispered in my ear,

"I prayed that you would find it tonight."

Ahhhh ...

Sweetness .....

My little guy KNOWS without a shadow of a doubt that JESUS ANSWERS PRAYER!!!

  2. Wow, I'm praying you find the folders and that everything works out with the IRS.

I was catching up on your blog a little ways down and saw the sad one about your little boy wanting friends. Is there a way you guys can go to something like Awana so the kids have somebody to play with? My parents used to be really leery of Awana, and I don't know if you and your husband are in that boat, but maybe you guys could give it a try with you standing around to see what its about? My non-denominational church has Awana and I help out as time allows, I've discovered that Awaan is mostly playing games and memorizing scripture, there's not much in the way of lessons that could contradict what you guys believe. That said, a lot of groups stop for the summer...Are there play groups in the area you could join? Have you checked meetups.com for groups that match your families interests? Christian friends would be nice, of course, but maybe there is a non christian focused group you guys could join (say family hiking, for example) that might open doors of friendship and open doors to Christ???

Im praying for you guys Mama! Hang in there!!!

  3. YAY!!! So glad you found it.

Sounds like you've got it all done now. But, before I got to the update, I was going to say... as of right now I'm not working at all this week. So, if you need a hand going through boxes (or someone to play games/ go to the park with the kids), let me know.

Praying things move along quickly and you get your refund SOON!

  4. Oh, forgot to say... LOVE that E prayed that you would find the yellow folder and that he recognized the answered prayer. How cool that God gave E the opportunity to see God work! What an example of God using frustrating circumstances for His greater purposes!
