SNOW Much FUN!

Papa and I took the kids to Mt. Baker on Saturday.

It was FUN, FUN, FUN!

Papa ... loving his new Christmas Coat.

Papa loves to inner-tube with the kids.

He'll even hop onto one of the little saucer sleds.

Ben ... ready for some serious 'tubing.

Ben's friend, Alex, joined us for the day.

(Alex happens to be the younger sister of

 Josh's wife, Hannah.  So, she's family, too.)

Sarah ... always pondering.

Sarah accidently let the inner-tube head down the hill by itself,

so down the hill she headed to retrieve it ... 

sliding on her "bumper" (our new family word for behind).

Josiah ... ready to give his new "snowboard" a try.

so he thought he'd try the face-first approach to go retrieve it.

Elijah ... focusing very hard on learning how to balance

on his new "snowboard".  The tongue action 

is part of his focusing routine.

Elijah was often found creating his own trail ... 

off in the deep powder snow.

Everyone was a bit envious of Elijah's "mask",

as it was snowing and the cold wind 

was whipping our faces for part of the day.

Oh yes ...

Hosanna was at the mountain for a weekend youth retreat.

She did join us for part of the afternoon,

but my camera was already put away.

Rachel spent the day with friends.

She wasn't happy about it,

but they all survived.
