I mentioned yesterday morning in a blog post that Jim had gotten re-hired at the refinery for a temporary job this spring.
Several of you emailed me yesterday afternoon to ask if that is the refinery that made world news yesterday because there was a big fire.
Yes. Same refinery. No idea if it will affect Jim's position that is supposed to start on Feb. 27. It is a very large refinery, and only a small area burned.
We are THANKFUL that no lives were lost in the fire yesterday, as refinery fires can be VERY deadly.

Hooray for the temp. job for JIm and so thankful no one was hurt...I have many friends who work out there!
ReplyDeleteI'm all for listening to the call and whatnot but... is it better to blow through all your family's savings than for YOU to get a job and your husband to homeschool your children for a few months? If his short-term refinery job is no longer available, and he is unable to find work, are you still planning on staying home?
