Welcome to Our Journey of Faith. My blog is a place where I share the joys and trials of living a faith-filled life as the mother of an extra large (12 children) homeschooling family, and my prayer is that it brings encouragement to others to live their lives as an adventure of faith, as well.
I agree w/ this quote too, and it is not always easy to live by, but His Word is our life preserver, and we tell our children (and ourselves) to not question us (or whomever) but to seek the answers themselves. We equip our children (and ourselves) on how to really look up the answers, to read thoroughly read before and after a verse to apply it appropriately, not to simply find a set of words (a specific verse out of context)that will prove a point. Great thought provoking post. *smile* ~Sheri
I think this quote is true and definitely the hardest thing. It is sooo easy to want to just give up and say- forget it....whatever, but that is not what God calls us to do. He doesn't call us to do - easy. He calls us to do what is RIGHT! And although our world has made a mockery of that- WE SHOULD NOT! God is still GOD and we are not! HE ALONE KNOWS RIGHT FROM WRONG AND WE SHOULD STAY IN HIS WILL!!!! The safest place to be!
One of favourite prayers Father help us when we want to do the right thing but do not know what it is but help us more when we know what the right thing to do is but do not want to do it! Seems to fit well with your quote
Thanks so much for stopping in to leave a comment. I hope you will read other comments, as well, and reply if you'd like. I am BLESSED by the discussion we can have through this comment section.
I agree with this quote and it's not easy to live by...especially if we're looking at the water and not the lifeguard.

ReplyDeleteIs there an author of the quote?
ReplyDeleteI got it off of a friend's FB page, and she didn't give an author. Sorry.
