THANKING Jesus . . . for "Little Answers" to "Little Prayers"
Our BIG PRAYER is that the LORD would provide a FULL-TIME and PERMANENT job for Jim . . . preferably in TEACHING.
Our "Little Prayer", and more pressing, but temporary prayer, is that the LORD would provide the necessary $$$ to pay the bills next month.
While we continue to pray our BIG PRAYER . . . we are THANKFUL that the LORD has answered our "Little Prayer" for next month.
On Wednesday, Jim lined up an interview for Friday with a Painting Contractor.
On Thursday, the contractor phoned and asked, "Can you come to work NOW?" (without even an interview)
On Thursday, the contractor told Jim he would pay him $11/hour. (Yikes! This does not come close to paying our bills.) Jim worked a few hours that day.
On Friday, the contractor told Jim he would pay him $13/hour. (Better than $11, but still hardly a "living wage" in this area of the country, where our cost of living is high and our minimum wage is over $9/hr.) Jim worked a few more hours that day.
On Saturday, the contractor told Jim he would pay him $15/hour. (A whole lot better than $11, and getting closer to filling our needs.) Jim worked all day.
We have no idea how long this position will last . . . or how many hours per week Jim will get . . . but we are THANKFUL that the LORD continues to provide for our immediate needs.
And, after Jim got home from work on Saturday afternoon, he got a call from someone to give a bid for painting her house. Yes! God will continue to provide. We are Thanking and Praising Jesus!!!
