A BIG Job Possibility for Papa

Jim has been totally BLESSED the past 6 weeks or so to work for a local Construction Company.  He started with a job at the local university, and then moved on to a State Park, and is now working at a small airport.  Each of these jobs have been Government Contracts, which means the hourly wage is exceptionally good (more than double what he was making for the painting contractor).  Thank You, Jesus!!!

In addition to this full time work with the Construction Company, he has also been busy 7 days per week with Independent Painting Jobs.  And we are REJOICING that the LORD has given us BEAUTIFUL weather the full month of September.  (He is finishing up his last exterior paint job this week, and has 1 more independent interior job lined up.)  Praising Jesus!!!

This Construction Company has been so pleased with his work, that now they are actively looking for painting jobs to keep Jim busy through the winter.  Woo Hoo!!!  The owner actually asked Jim to make the 75 mile drive to the BIG City, to work out a bid for another Government Contract job.  Seriously?!?!  Jim got to do the foot work to actually do the bid?!?!

Anyway . . . the Construction Company submitted the bid TODAY . . . and they should know by Friday whether or not they got the job.  This is a 3 MONTH JOB . . . just for Jim.  The Construction Company has no other need for this job, except to find work for Jim.  They now refer to Jim as their "Company Painter".  Yes!!!  It is a Government Contract.  It is full-time work . . . at a very good hourly wage . . . for 3 full months.  This would be a FANTASTIC opportunity for Jim (even though it would require a 150 mile per day commute).

PLEASE PRAY that the company's bid gets accepted for this painting job.  If they do not get this job . . . they currently have just 2 weeks of work left for Jim.

We are so very THANKFUL for ALL of the work that the LORD has provided for Jim in the past 2 months.  He is EXHAUSTED from working 60-80 hours per week (plus commute time), but we are truly thankful for the LORD's provision!  And . . . we are counting the days/hours until we get to take our Sunshine & Beaches vacation to celebrate our 30th Anniversary.  (I can't wait to tell you about the GIFT the LORD has BLESSED us with!)

Thanks for your PRAYERS for this Job Possibility!!!

  1. so glad to hear that the Lord has been blessing Jim with jobs :) yes pray that he doesn't get too exhausted, it will be good to have one day off a week (like the Lord did on the Sabbath when He created heaven and earth in 6 days and rested on the 7th, He did not need to, but He showed an example for us to rest on His holy day so we can enjoy Him and get rejuvenated).

The Lord is so good!!!! :) and can't wait for you to really enjoy your sunshine, beaches and wedding anniversary! sounds like so much FUN! :D
