Last September, for Hosanna's Birthday, we began the process of "New Decor" for her bedroom.
She picked out a new comforter, and we bought new curtains for the window and the closet.
We also bought coordinating comforters for Sarah & Rachel.
However . . . we never quite finished the project.
Papa never got the painting done,
as we moved on to redecorating most of the rest of the house,
without ever getting back to repainting the kids' bedrooms.
The walls were one dark blue, two dark green, and one white . . .
so they didn't really clash with the New Decor. (smile)
Last month, Papa attacked all 3 kids' bedrooms with his paint brush,
while Mama bought all of the finishing touches for the rooms.
Hosanna chose a medium Gray for 1 wall, bright teal for 2 walls,
while leaving 1 wall white in order to keep things from getting too dark.
She also asked Elijah if she and Sarah could switch dressers with him,
giving him 2 blue dressers, and giving the girls the bright white furniture.
This is Hosanna's half of the room.
While the 3 frames on the left were purchased from Target,
the rest of the frames are old cast-offs from Mama,
which Hosanna brightened up with fresh paint.
I was truly amazed at how cute all of my "ugly old frames" turned out to be.
This is Sarah's half of the room.
Hosanna made her the Crayon Art . . .
and let her hang up Hosanna's Prize-Winning Rose photo.
Sarah also has the "Sisters" collage frame, with pics of Hosanna, Sarah, and Rachel
Most of our kids have rejected the old 1970's bi-fold closet doors,
in favor of curtains. This lime green "curtain" was actually
a shower curtain on clearance at Target for just $4.00
Mama scored a deal on that one,
with a matching one that Hosanna
cut and sewed for their little window.
These are photos and postcards that Hosanna has hung over her desk,
with cute little clothes pins. What a fun idea!
The girls are definitely enjoying their "New" room.
