Lindsey phoned from Australia at 2:00 am.
I missed the call, but got up and found my phone and texted her.
We talked and prayed from 2:30 - 3:00 am.
I prayed some more.
I wrote a blog post and fb post, asking others to pray.
I prayed some more.
I went to bed at 3:30.
I prayed some more (with my cell phone by my side).
Lindsey texted at 4:00 am. (8:30pm her time)
Her 2nd set of blood tests came back positive for Malaria.
(The first set of tests had come back negative.)
She was headed to the hospital to begin treatment,
thankful to finally have a diagnosis after being sick for a week.
Thank you all for your continued prayers, as Lindsey is very sick.

ReplyDeleteoh my word. i'm so sorry. praying for healing and thankful they have a diagnosis. may the Lord comfort her!
ReplyDeleteSo thankful they have a diagnosis. I remember having a bit of a fear while in Liberia because we seem to be at the peak of Malaria season...so I went armed with Malarone instead of the cheaper versions. I know they are way more expensive but I had zero side affects.
ReplyDeleteThankful they can treat Lindsey now.
Praying for complete healing.

Praise the Lord for giving doctors wisdom so they know what it is... for making it clear in blood tests... He is sooo good! :)
ReplyDeletePraying that Lindsey is loved and cared and that He will restore her health back with the correct treatments. I hope she has plenty of bed rest and people around her to help her.
It is a horrible experience to have a child sick in a foreign country and the helpless feeling it brings. Prayer is the only option. I am so glad she has a diagnosis and can be treated for that. Thank you for sharing so that your followers can pray, not only for Lindsey, but your whole family! May God RAIN DOWN blessings on all of you.
