"There will still be Papa Murphy's Pizza . . . . . . . . ."
. . . as my kids eat their Papa Murphy's Pizza
and Cheesy Bread Sticks.
After losing 6.4 pounds in the past 8 days,
I'm not about to sabotage it just for a piece of pizza
and a cheesy bread stick. (smile)

After saying, "No" to one of my favorite meals . . .
and eating a Taco Salad instead . . .
and keeping my calories under 1000 for the day . . .
I still gained a 1/2 pound. So sad.

You go! I have to keep telling myself those things, as well. I guess we're taking every thought captive?!
ReplyDeleteThis cracked me up! Those words should be on a poster for every woman on a diet around the world :).
ReplyDeletePraying for your daughter and hoping that she starts feeling better very soon!
Thanks for all your encouragement, friend!
Hey, just found your blog through Smiles and Trials.
ReplyDeleteDieting can be so hard, but if you passed up good pizza, you've got great self control. ;) Don't know what diet you are following, but I found myfitnesspal.com really helpful when I was dieting awhile back (helped me lose 30 pounds). It has 1200 calories as the absolute minimum required each day so that your body doesn't go into "starvation mode" which causes you to slow down in your weight loss, jsyk.
Anyhow, just thought I'd give my two-cents. :P
Hi Emily,
DeleteThanks for popping over to my blog. :)
I have been counting calories and tracking my body responses very carefully, and I only lose weight if I keep the calories between 900-1100. So hard.
I have lost 25 pounds in the past 2 months, though . . . so I'll keep plugging away at it.
Laurel
that doesn't sound like enough calories Laurel... sometimes the weight doesn't come off if you're not getting enough...I do understand though, seems even if I look at food I gain weight! it's so darn frustrating!
ReplyDeleteI seriously gain weight if my calorie count goes over 1100 or so . . . and my weight loss stalls when I get under 900. So, I am doing my best to stay within that 200 calorie parameter.
DeleteLinda told me when she lost her 100# that she had to tell herself, "Red Robin french fries will still be here next year." So, I am trying to follow her lead and encouragement.
