After our complete "Fail Day" on Wednesday,
we were ready for some Beautiful Beaches on Thursday,
and Laquilla, Puerto Rico did not disappoint.
I think this boat got lost.
The official "Laquilla Beach" was voted Most Popular public beach in all of Puerto Rico.
The beautiful Palm Trees used to be an old Coconut Plantation.

We spent a wonderful afternoon exploring Laquilla,
before heading off to our Most Amazing / Crazy Adventure that evening.
It is beautiful. I thought they'd have the white sand beaches though so that surprises me.

The beaches were not at all what we imagined, either. In Laquilla, actually, one beach was red sand . . . just a "block" away from the "regular" sand beach. While some of the beaches were truly "beautiful", they were nothing like the beaches of the Bahamas (which we went to for our 25th Anniversary Trip). We also had rain/thunder/lightning every afternoon, so we didn't get to "spend the day at the beach" as we had planned. A bit disappointing . . . but still a GREAT trip.
