We were BLESSED to be able to attend the church service on Sunday,
at which Gregg & Kayla DEDICATED Noah to the LORD.
It was so SPECIAL . . .
for so many reasons.
We attended Lighthouse Christian Center
from February 1991 (the very first service)
until November 1999 (when we moved north).
Pastor Art was our pastor from when
Gregg was in Kindergarten until he was in 9th Grade.
Pastor Art praying over our First Grandchild . . .
more precious than words can convey.
All of the parents . . . lifting their children up to the Lord.
Gregg has not always walked closely with the Lord . . .
which made it all the more special . . .
to be with him as he dedicated his first son to God.
God has done such a MIGHTY work in this little family this year.
We REJOICE and PRAISE Him for ALL that He has done!
We went out to lunch with 30 members of Kayla's extended family.
I LOVE . . . that Kayla's Grandma LOVES to take pictures! (smile)
I wish that I had asked someone to take a picture of just Papa & Me . . .
all decked out in our matching purple.
Do you ever crop yourself out of pictures?
Somehow, after losing nearly 35 pounds,
my old double chin cropped back up.
(will I ever lose it?)
But . . . this pic was just TOO CUTE of Papa & Noah!
If I knew how to use Photo Shop,
I would just pop this pic of me into the last pic.
(Do any of you actually do that?)
We do PRAY God's riches BLESSINGS upon this little guy,
and upon his beautiful Mommy & Daddy.
"May God continue to draw them closer to Him,
may they seek His wisdom for their daily lives,
may they lean on His strength each and every day,
may they know His abundant love today."
While we would LOVE to live closer,
so that we could be involved in their day to day lives,
we are oh. so. thankful. that they are just
3 hours down the road.
It was more than worth it,
to get up at 5:15 am,
to drive 150 miles,
"just" to go to church
on this most special day.
Yes.
We do REJOICE in the BLESSING of our first GRANDCHILD!

What a special time.
ReplyDeleteI am so very happy for you and your family. I can only imagine the JOY you are feeling at that moment. And OMGoodness that little Noah is a cute one...actually very, very handsome.
ReplyDeletePraising God with you.
Hugs,
Connie
LOVE the picture of the parents lifting the babies!!! And...you look so beautiful!!! Purple is a great color on you!
ReplyDeleteSuch a joyful post. Thank you for sharing so many sweet pics.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your grandson's baby dedication! Your family is beautiful. My photographer son gave me advice on the double chin thing. People tend to pull their chins back when they are getting their picture taken, making the double chin show. The double chin will be less noticeable if you jut your chin out and a little down. It works!
