7:00 Concert begins with a great band from Ireland
10th Avenue North gives a most AWESOME concert
10:00 Slip out during the last song so that we don't get "stuck" in the parking lot
12:00 Hosanna and Mama arrive home after a very FUN day.
12:45am Mama heads to bed
Sunday
5:15 Mama's Alarm goes off . . . after only 4 1/2 hours of sleep.
6:30 Mama makes a Latte for Papa and a Mocha for herself
(caffeine will be an imperative part of today)
6:45 On the Road again . . . headed South
(down the same freeway I was on just a few short hours ago)
9: 30 Arrive at Gregg & Kayla's Church for the 9:45 Service
(the same church Gregg attended from K - 8th grade,
before we moved North)
Visit for a few minutes with Pastor Art,
whom we had not seen in quite a few years.
Hugs for Janet
. . . a good friend for so many years
Hugs for Sweet Rebecca
. . . a waitress friend from 25 years ago
. . . a favorite Sunday School Teacher of many of our kids
. . . a Worship Team friend
So wonderful to be back at our Old Church.
(We attended from the church's very first service in Feb. 1991
until we moved 150 miles North in November 1999.)
Why were we at our old church on Sunday morning,
after only 4 1/2 hours sleep ???
It was Baby Dedication Sunday and . . .
Gregg & Kayla Dedicated Noah to the Lord.
(stay tuned for pictures)
After church, we joined 30 of Kayla's extended family for a quick lunch
before it was time to head North again.
1:15 Left Puyallup and hopped back on the freeway.
3:30 Quick stop at our Favorite Coffee Shop
(can we just shoot some caffeine directly into our veins?)
Mama ordered a 24 oz. White Chocolate Peppermint Mocha
3:45 Arrived at our Church for a Membership Information Class
(still wearing our dressy outfits from the morning's service)
8:45 Class Done
Pick up the boys at a Friend's House.
(Hosanna & Sarah had a Sister Day at home.)
9:15 Home . . . after being gone 14 1/2 hours . . . on only 4 1/2 hours' sleep
I believe it is the first time that I've worn high heals for 15 hours;
my feet were oh. so. ready. to be relieved of the task.
10:00 Bedtime
Wow!
What a weekend!
Fun with Hosanna!
Blessed to be a part of Noah's Special Day!
Great to attend the class at church . . .
. . . to find out "what makes our church who it is"
. . . to get to know the Pastor better
. . . to meet other couples
What did YOU do this weekend ???
Wowza. What a busy weekend! I am so happy for you that you were able to see Noah dedicated and for all that is going on in your life. Wishing you loads of blessings!
ReplyDeleteUs? We went to a movie on friday with our BF. Saturday found us at Barnes and Noble for some relaxing and Sunday was church, a quick visit with friends and then our daughter, grandson and son in law over for dinner. All in all it was a lovely weekend!
Figured out how to save posts as unread in my reader on my phone and how to comment from my phone (if someone else has commented... wont give me the box if there arent any previous comments)
ReplyDeleteSounds like a fun weekend. We had baby dedication @ church this wknd too... always one of my favorites. I thought of hosanna when tenth ave north was here a while back... glad she got to go to the concert, share it with you, and get into the vip session.
I missed something at some point... is sarah going to school? I figure either that or you've started scheduling time to talk to yourself... ;)
My weekend included lots of decorating... with more still to be done...
I was in your neck of the woods on Saturday. I went with a friend to the Lynden Craft & Antique Show that we just happened upon. Lots of cool stuff. We had headed down to wander about and visit some of the nice little stores when someone mentioned the craft fair to us so off we went to that. Had a very nice Saturday.
