The Young Ones and I had a MOST AWESOME trip to the BEACH this week!
It couldn't have been better (unless, of course, Jim and Hosanna could have joined us).
The weather was MORE than AMAZING.
If you have never lived in Western Washington,
you have no idea how very unusual it was
to have clear blue skies and 70 degree weather
at the beach in October.
Usually, a trip to the beach in Washington in October would
include layers of clothing, rain coats, boots, etc . . .
not shorts, t-shirts, and flip flops (as we wore this week).
But . . .
even more AMAZING than the weather . . .
was the Special Friends that invited us to join them.
Sheri and I have read each other's blogs for a couple of years.
They used to live in Washington, and we met for lunch a year and a half ago, or so.
However . . .
they moved to Oregon . . .
and our families had never met.
But . . .
you would have never guessed that if you'd seen us together this week.
We just "blended".
I can't think of a better word.
There were 10 of us staying in a little 2 bedroom rental house,
and it didn't even feel cramped.
Sheri and her husband were there with their 4 youngest (ages 4, 7, 10, 15),
while I joined them with my 3 youngest (ages 10, 12, 13).
And.
It just. plain. worked.
I'll be sharing several posts full of pictures from our 3 day trip to the beach,
but will close tonight with a few pictures of . . .
Football On The Beach
Yes. They played Tackle Football.
LOVE the multi-age-level game.
Each team had 1 "Big Boy" . . . 1 "Middle Boy" . . . and 1 "Little Guy".
Yes.
We were most certainly BLESSED by our time with Sheri and her family!
Stay tuned for more FUN pics of our time at the beach.
Had a fabulous time with your family! What a blessing you all are!
