When we left for our trip to Puerto Rico, it was still Sunshine and 70 degrees here in Washington.
When we arrived home a week later, the grey skies and rain had descended on the earth. (smile)
One sure sign of Fall at the Big D. House is when Mama starts making Hot Mochas.
I love my Iced White Chocolate Raspberry Mochas for hot summer days . . .
but once the cold weather arrives, Hot Peppermint Mochas are the drink of the day.
We still LOVE the Espresso Machine that we bought with some Gift Money for Christmas 2009.
(Just in case you are wondering, the fruit flavored syrups are for the kids' Italian Sodas.)
Also . . . in case you are curious . . . a Hot Peppermint Mocha weighs in at under 150 calories
when made with 1% Milk, Sugar Free Chocolate, Sugar Free Peppermint, and Light Whipped Cream.
And . . . the Milk gives me a boost of protein for my "liquid snack".
Other Signs of Fall at the Big D. House . . .
. . . Pumpkins on the Porch
from Papa's Garden.
. . . Pumpkin Spice Candles
on the kitchen window sill.
. . . Mama's Fall Table Cloth
with shades of yellow, orange, purple.
. . . Mama's Dehydrator in the Kitchen
currently drying hot red and green peppers from Papa's Garden.
. . . Blankets on the Couch
for any time snuggling.
. . . Mama's Slippers on my Feet
to keep my tootsies warm.
. . . Mama's Boots by the Back Door
to slip on for all of my comings and going.
. . . Mama's Slippers on my Feet
to keep my tootsies warm.
. . . Mama's Boots by the Back Door
to slip on for all of my comings and going.
. . . Fall Decorations
sprinkled throughout the Living and Dining Rooms.
Yes.
Fall has Arrived.
What are the signs of Fall at YOUR house?
Those cinnamon-infused pine cones! They are one of my very favorite things!
