Life is a grindstone . . .
and whether it grinds a man down . . .
or polishes him up . . .
depends on the stuff he's made of.
Josh Billings
Our family has definitely been roughed up by a grindstone the past couple of years.
We have been worked over and re-shaped.
Many of our rough edges have been ground down;
yet, there are still a few sharp points, as well.
I pray that we will be able to walk away from the grindstone soon . . .
beautifully polished by the Lord . . .
and ready to move forward into all that He has for us.
We aren't polished yet.
There are areas that feel ground down and broken beyond repair.
There are sharp points that still cause pain every time they are touched.
But, we know that the Lord can heal and restore.
We trust Him for this healing.
We believe He can bring restoration.
We pray that He will bring our family back together . . .
polished nearly beyond recognition . . .
connected as if a necklace made of precious jewels . . .
each stone unique, yet an intricate and irreplaceable part of the whole.
Thank you for your continued prayers for our family.
Beautiful...you have such a way with words!
ReplyDeleteI often lift you and your precious family up in prayer. You have a genuine spirit that blesses and encourages many. I am so thankful for your honesty and for sharing the goo, the bad and everything in between.

ReplyDeleteI loved this, the grindstone does the polishing and the finished product is beautiful.
