Too Sick

Have you ever been just. plain. too. sick. to even go to the Doctor's Office?  That's where yesterday found me.  I walked as far as the kitchen 3 times, but nearly passed out each time.

I did not have the energy to even pick up the phone to make a Doctor's Appt., much less shower, get dressed, and walk across the street to the Doctor's Office.



Yes.  Seriously.  I live across the street from my Doctor's Office . . . and I did not have the strength to get myself there.  (Jim was working 75 miles away, and Hosanna was at school and play practice all afternoon, while I was home with the 3 young ones.)

Jim did phone the office yesterday, and made an appt. for me for this morning, since Hosanna would be home to get me there.  I was so weak this morning, again nearly passing out, that I almost had to have Hosanna go across the street and borrow a wheelchair to get me to my appt.  So. Not. Fun.

I made it to my appt.  Had to lay down for a few minutes after the exam because I was too dizzy to walk.  Made it next door to the lab for blood tests and a strep test.  And, actually made it back home (across the street) without needing a wheelchair.  Yep.  That's my big accomplishment for the day.  (smile)

Test results back.  No mono. No strep.  Yes Viral Infection.  I definitely have a serious virus.  There are several types that are similar to Mono, but not the exact mono virus.  Treatment:  Sleep It Off.

HUGE Prayer Request:  God's Healing Power so that I may be well enough to attend the funeral on Saturday for my Dad's wife.  It is very important that I be there to support my dad.
