Grandsons, Grandsons Everywhere
On Friday . . . Cassie gave birth to Wesley Dean.
On Saturday . . . we got to see Gregg and Noah William David.
On Sunday . . . Jeremiah & Ashleigh announced that they, too,
are having a BOY (in June).
Yes.
We had 4 kids get married in 14 months,
and now we will have 3 grandsons in 15 months.
Sure is a good thing that we love boys (since we have 6 of our own)!
Now, of course, we love girls, too (being that we also have 6 of those).
Someday, I am quite sure that we will welcome some grandDAUGHTERS.
But, for now, we will REJOICE over all of the BOYS joining the family!
I LOVE that all of my girls have older BROTHERS,
so actually think it quite nice that these families
are starting out with BOYS, as well.
The oldest in Jim's family . . . is a boy.
The oldest in my family . . . is a boy.
The oldest in my dad's family . . . is a boy.
The oldest in my grandpa's family . . . is a boy.
So, we think that starting out with BOYS, is a great way to go.

Of my cousins and I on my moms side, 8 of us had a boy first before 1 (the latest) had a girl first...will be interesting to see what happens with the remaining 12 cousins. :-) Not sure about the other side...I have a lot of cousins! I am the oldest of 6 kids. 4 of us are married with children. All of us have a boy first, and 3 of us had a girl second. My husband is one of 3 boys, we had the only grandson (7 granddaughters) until we added 3 boys via adoption. Lots of fun!
ReplyDeleteA daughter was our first, followed by three boys. Four grandsons arrived before we had our first granddaughter, making a span of 35 years with no ladies. Now we have 8 grandsons, 6 granddaughters, 2 great grandsons and 2 great granddaughters. I am the oldest of 6, 5 girls and 1 boy!
