THANKFUL for . . . Coffee Dates, Conversation, Young Ones, Big Kids, Old Friends, New Friends, Papa Time, Mama Time

Thank you all for your prayers last month.
I had quite a few difficult days in December.
So. Not. Fun.

2013 has started off well.

Tuesday . . .

Hosanna and I have almost completed a serious
School Room Reorganization.

Wednesday Morning . . .

We jumped back into our
Homeschooling Routine.

Wednesday Afternoon . . .

I addressed 100+ envelopes for our
New Years' Family Newsletter.

Wednesday Evening . . .

Papa and I had an hour and a half,
Coffee Date
while the kids were at church.

Thursday Morning . . .

I enjoyed a
Morning Mocha & Muffin
with my dear friend, Sarah,
and then we got a 2 mile walk in.

Friday Morning  . . .

I met a newer friend for a 2 hour
Coffee & Converstion Time.

Friday Afternoon . . .

Library Time
with Sarah, Josiah, & Elijah.
Oh how they LOVE to go to the Library!

Friday Evening . . .

Family Fun Night.
Nothing like roasting sausages over an open fire,
when it is 34 degrees out.  (Papa's Idea)
The kids enjoyed making S'Mores for dessert.

Saturday Morning . . .

I was invited to a 1 hour
Ladies' Prayer Time,
which then casually morphed into a
Women's Ministry Planning Meeting.
I look forward to being involved more
at our new church.

Saturday Afternoon . . .

I enjoyed some
Mama Time,
shopping the 70% off sale at Kohls . . .
shopping Target with a $100 Christmas Gift Card . . .
driving 75 miles to shop at Hobby Lobby
on the unofficial
Hobby Lobby Appreciation Day.

Sunday Morning . . .

Sunday School.
In 30 years of marriage,
Jim and I have never attended a church
with an Adult Sunday School program.
We absolutely LOVE it!

Sunday Afternoon . . .

A surprise visit from Ben.
Hadn't seen him in a week,
and really miss him when he's gone.
We had a good visit!

And now . . .

Papa is out to Lunch with a friend.

The kids are playing Games quietly downstairs.

Hosanna is at a Youth Retreat.

I think it is time . . .

 to make myself a
Hot Peppermint Mocha,
and read the Sunday Newspaper.

THANKING JESUS

for  . . .

Coffee Dates and Conversation.

Old Friends and New Friends.

Papa and the Precious Young Ones.

Ben and all of the Big Kids.

Sunday School and Our New Church.
(we've been there almost 9 months,
but definitely still feel "new")

and . . .

my most favorite Kitchen Appliance . . .

Mama's Espresso Machine.

What would I do without my
Morning (or afternoon) Mocha & Muffin?

What are you THANKFUL for today?

  1. We've starting doing a January letter as well. It's much less stressful to do it now instead of before Christmas.

I am thankful that right now my siblings are actually having a "light" moment with my mom during school. Defenses are low and good spirits are permeating a dark spiritual fog that's been suffocating the family more and more often.

  2. I am thankful for your blog, and the time to sit at a computer and read! What a treat! Thank you!
